I founded Marmot Baby after watching too many brilliant parents break under pressure, trying to perform at work while surviving endless nights at home. As an ex-management consultant, I've been there, and I know it’s not sustainable.

With 12 years of experience leading global projects and solving complex stakeholder problems, I now bring that same clear thinking to baby sleep: cutting through noise, finding creative solutions, and helping families get results without selling out their values.

The science: "Sleep is essential for life"

says Dr. Alexander Antczack, medical doctor in General and Occupational Medicine, and father of three. "It allows the body to recover. Persistent sleep deprivation has significant effects on mental well-being as well as physical and cognitive performance. Lack of sleep also increases the risk of related conditions such as heart and kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, and obesity.

In this context, babies who cry frequently, or 'high-needs babies,' pose a significant challenge. They cry a lot and struggle to settle down, leading to sleep deprivation for both them and their parents, creating a cycle of stress. For adults, and especially for babies with sleep issues, it's crucial to take early steps to establish and reinforce a healthy sleep routine.
